Swollen limbs

Our lives have been pretty crazy around here..

Michael hurt his hand at work in October, and I hurt my foot when we were in Texas.

Here's what happened!

Michael was pulling out a bush at work and and a thorn went into his wrist, His hand got super swollen and infected right away, he had to go into the doctors 3 days in a row for an IV drop of antibiotics and had his hand in a soft cast and splint.. all because of a thorn! His hand has still been bothering him so we have an apt with the hand specialist on Wednesday and we will know whether he has to have surgery to get the thorn out or whether it will come out on it's own. ... and my ankle, well that's another story! We got to Texas on the 17 of November about 3 hours after we got there we were all supposed to go to Grayson's birthday party at a place that has tons of bounce houses.. Michael and I decided to race through one of them and as I was climbing up the last wall to go down the slide I slipped and my ankle popped. I knew I needed to get out of the bounce house but didn't know how.. I couldn't climb over the wall with one foot, and could I make it out the way I came in, through all the obstacles?  Michael finally came in looking for me, wondering what was taking me so long, he saw me and finally got me out! I ended up going to the ER and getting ex-rays. The doctor came in and said I sprained and pulled some ligaments in my ankle. So lucky for me I was on crutches the whole week we were in Texas.

So needless to say our lives have been pretty crazy, but we just laugh and think it's pretty funny how everything happened!

We leave for Christmas break on Saturday and are SO excited to get way for awhile and not have to worry about work or school, and just be able to relax and be with family! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, and I'll be back with pictures of our Christmas Vacation :)
